WoodRug Floor Inlays come in three standard sizes: 30" x 30", 40" x 40", and 40" x 60". Custom sizes are also available.

WoodRug Floor Inlays are octagonal in shape. This simplifies installation into any new or existing hardwood floor.

WoodRug Floor Borders come in 30" lengths. This simplifies installation and minimizes waste.
4) What thickness do WoodRug Floor Inlays and Borders come in?
WoodRug Floor Inlays and Borders are 3/4" thick. They are 5/16" solid hardwood laminated to 9-ply Baltic Birch. This provides a wear layer that meets or exceeds the sandable thickness of your hardwood floor. Custom thicknesses are also available.
5) What are the most common wood species used in WoodRug Floor Inlays and Borders?
WoodRug Floor Inlays and Borders are available in oak, birch, maple, ash and cherry. We use Peruvian walnut to frame the inlay. Other species include: chakte kok, poplar, purpleheart, lacewood, pau amarillo, sapele, mahogany, zebrano, wenge and green acrylic impregnate.

Yes, our prefinished WoodRug Floor Inlays and Borders have a high solids semi-gloss polyurethane finish that blends well with most prefinished floors.

Yes, not only can WoodRug Floor Inlays and Borders be installed in any new or existing hardwood floor, they have also been installed in ceramic, marble, tile and carpet.
9) Are WoodRug Floor Inlays and Borders easy to install?
Yes, WoodRug Floor Inlays and Borders are very easy to install. In a new floor, secure center of inlay to subfloor by screwing it down through the pre-drilled pilot holes and then insert self-adhesive plugs. Next, secure perimeter of inlay to subfloor by screwing it down through the pre-drilled pilot holes in the specially machined edge slots. Finally, install hardwood flooring around the inlay with basic 45 and 90 cuts. To simplify installation into an existing floor, a template package and easy to follow instructions can be supplied.
